AIDA64 v8.40 Press Release
BUDAPEST, Hungary - September 15, 2026 - FinalWire Ltd. today announced the immediate availability of AIDA64 Extreme v8.40, a streamlined diagnostic and benchmarking tool for home users; AIDA64 Engineer v8.40, a professional diagnostic and benchmarking solution for corporate IT technicians and engineers; AIDA64 Business v8.40, an essential network management solution for small and medium-sized enterprises; and AIDA64 Network Audit v8.40, a dedicated network audit toolset for collecting and managing corporate network inventories.
AIDA64 8.40 expands hardware support for current and upcoming AMD platforms, with improved support for Verano and Verano-D processors and preliminary support for Zen 7 server processors. This release also extends sensor and LCD monitoring capabilities with ATKACPI support and three additional Matrix Orbital displays, adds GPU details for the AMD Radeon RX 9050.

Compatibility with previous Windows versions
The move to a modern compiler and native 64-bit binaries has also resulted in a significant shift: AIDA64 v8.xx will no longer support 32-bit Windows versions or Windows XP x64. While this decision was necessary to modernize the software and enable new features, it marks a clear direction towards supporting the latest operating systems and hardware.
Pricing and Availability
The AIDA64 product family for Windows PCs consists of three business editions and a home edition. The company's flagship IT asset management offering with hardware diagnostic features is AIDA64 Business, while a dedicated network inventory solution called AIDA64 Network Audit is also available, for a lower license fee. Designed for corporate engineers and IT technicians, AIDA64 Engineer includes expert tools not available in AIDA64 Extreme, the home edition of the software. Today all four AIDA64 editions are updated to v8.40.
